Free Drivers Education Program
What is the Free Drivers Education Program?
The Free Drivers Education Program is offered through the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Youth Driver Education Funding Program. This program helps eligible youth and young adults receive driver education and work toward becoming licensed drivers at no cost.
Funding may cover:

Behind-the-wheel training

Road tests and required fees
Who may qualify?
This program is designed to support youth and young adults who may face barriers to accessing driver education, including:

Current or former foster youth

Youth or young adults experiencing homelessness

Individuals affected by dating or family violence

How does it work?
